Woody Allen, 85, of Odessa, TX passed away on May 14, 2015 in Odessa. He was born in Cunningham, TX to Thomas Green Allen and Mary "Mollie" Drosche Allen on July 13, 1929. He married Barbara Skelding on March 2, 1963 in Phoenix, AZ.\r\n\r\nHe was a welder and machinist for most of his adult life. He served in the United States Air Force and was recognized for his expertise in welding. He was an Elder in the Community of Christ church and had been involved in country-western bands that played for numerous nursing facilities in Odessa and the Ingram/Kerrville area.\r\n\r\nWoody is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mollie; brothers, Claude Allen, Grady Allen, Burton Allen, Fred Allen and James Allen; and sisters, Eddie Mae Shannon, Margie Hogan and Irene Verivie.\r\n\r\nWoody is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Molly McCollum of Odessa, Jill Elder and husband Rick of Kilgore and Amy Tiseth and husband Patrick of Wimberley; brother, Connie Joe Allen and his wife Imogene; sisters, Bonnie Elliott and Ima Faye Laughlin and husband Charles; grandchildren, Alison Herring and husband Tyrel, Zachary McCollum and wife Tiffany, Andrea McCollum, Shelby Elder and Haley Elder; great-grandchildren, Landon Herring, Riley McCollum and Logan Herring; and honorary daughters, Tammy Moore and Sharon Torrans.\r\n\r\nMemorial services will be held at 11am, Saturday, May 30th at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville with High Priest Eric Cox of Community of Christ church officiating.
