Winford Holloway

Winford R. Holloway, better known as Win, went to be with his Lord on May 23rd, 2015.\r\n\r\nGrowing up he was known as "Bud" by friends and family. Win graduated from Des Arc High School in 1956 where he played on the football and basketball teams. He graduated from Arkansas State University in 1960, and was a part of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and Varsity Track Team as a distant runner. Win was an avid golfer and has won 6 championships at various golf clubs. He has been a Bible teacher at several Baptist churches over the past 40 years. And recently, he started a Bible study ministry on the internet where he wrote to over 65 subscribers weekly.\r\n\r\nWin was a resident of Missouri City, Texas for 38 years until he retired in Kerrville, TX nine years ago.\r\n\r\nHe was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather of five grandchildren leaving a spiritual legacy behind him.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents Waymond and Viola Holloway, brother Gene Holloway, and sister Ann Holloway Wilson.\r\n\r\nWin is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lonnie Pat Holloway, son Mike Holloway and wife Shay, grandchildren Ryker and Maddox; daughter Tricia Holloway Zody and husband Brian, grandchildren Austin, Alexandra, and Addison Zody.\r\n\r\nMemorial Services on May 30th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with reception following at Trinity Baptist Church, 800 Jackson Rd., Kerrville, TX 78028.\r\n\r\n The family invites you to send condolences at www.grimesfuneralchapels.com by selecting the "Send Condolences" link.\r\n\r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to GRIMES FUNERAL CHAPELS OF KERRVILLE.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
