Wilvie DeWayne Smith,age 93, of Bandera, passed away on December 25, 2014. He was born in Sonora to Johnnie & Daisy Smith on August 19, 1921. He was married to Rosalynd "Sug" Smith.\r\n\r\nWilvie lived in Bandera and owned the Western Auto store and served numerous terms as Mayor of the city of Bandera. He was a veteran of World War II and was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps.\r\n\r\nWilvie is preceeded in death by both of his parents, Johnnie & Daisy Smith, his wife Rosalynd "Sug", and brother Waylon Smith .\r\n\r\nWilvie, is survived by his son & Daughter-in-law DeWayne & Rosielee Smith of San Antonio, his daughter & son-in-law Sherry Delayne Smith Newsome & husband Edwin of Austin, a grandson, Dewayne Smith III of San Antonio, 2 great grandsons Jesse James Smith & Gage Anthony Smith of San Antonio. Wilvie is also survived by his close companion & dear friend Rose Holtzman.\r\n\r\nWilvie's family, will be having a celebration of his life at a later date.\r\n\r\nThe Smith family would also like to extend our sincerest thanks to Rose Holtzman.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
