Willie Eugene Knoy, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his residence in Kerrville, TX. He was born in Tahoka, TX to William Joshua Knoy and Beulah Francis Holman on December 28, 1919. He married Robbie Mae Little on October 3, 1942 in Wheeler, TX and was happily married until she died in 1985. He later married Mary Harrison on October 25, 1987 in Houston, TX and was happily married to her until her death in 2017.\r\n \r\nMr. Knoy graduated high school from Woodson, TX and then graduated from McMurray University. He later received his Master's Degree in Education from Hardin Simmons University and worked as an educator in New Mexico and Texas from 1947-1985. Mr. Knoy is also a WWII Veteran and proudly served in both the Army and Air Force. \r\n \r\nMr. Knoy was preceded in death by his brother and sister, Hoby Knoy and Sue Mathis. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by his son, William T. Knoy and wife Barbara; son, Ronnie N. Knoy and wife Gayle; step-daughter, Jeannie Stevens and husband Lance; grandchildren, Bill Knoy and wife Teshawn, Crystal Knoy-Dale, Tomell Walton and husband Richard, Lynn Grogan, Ronnie Knoy, Tom Wagoner and wife Rae, Ginger Reasner and husband Jeff, Billy Richardson, Jr. and wife Sandra, Heather Likin and husband Jay, and April Jones. Great-grandchildren include Billy Knoy and wife Kayla, Zack Knoy and wife Renee, Justice Nicholson, Roland Walton, Coltin Walton, Katelyn Grogan, Aaron Grogan, Derek Cruz, Miranda Wagoner, Tommy Wagoner, Andrew Moffitt and wife Morgan, Taylor Anderson and husband Chris, Jeannie Moffitt, Jonathan Jones, Jordan Richardson, Kaley Jones, Landon Likin and Addyson Likin; great-great-grandchildren, Zohy Knoy, Oliver Knoy, Jaxson Walton and Lillian Moffitt.\r\n \r\nThe family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 5-7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, TX. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 10:00 AM at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, TX with Donna Magee of First United Methodist Church officiating.\r\n \r\nThe family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Peterson Hospice in Kerrville, TX or Gideons International. \r\n \r\n
