William L. (Bill) Roever, born October 9, 1921, passed on May 7, 2015. He is remembered as a fair, kind, and generous man. He had lived in Kerrville since retiring from Shell Oil Research and Development Laboratory in Houston. He worked for Shell from 1948 until 1988. Never one to worry about whether the glass is half full or half empty, he would be more concerned with what was wrong with the mechanism that was supposed to fill the glass.\r\n\r\nBill married Mary June Baird Roever in 1945. June preceded him in death in 2001. Their daughter, Andrea, died in 1972. Andrea was the artist who created the portrait of her father. Bill and June's surviving daughters and their sponses are Jacqui and James Partain of Kerrville and Rebecca and Oliver Finney of Lawrence, KS. Additionally he leaves two brothers (Don and Jim Roever), four grandchildren (Rosalind and Sarah Finney, Meggan and Alice Partain), and four great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nNo services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Peterson Hospice, which may be done in care of Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
