William Paul (Bill) Howton of Kerrville, Texas - beloved husband, daddy, PawPaw, brother and uncle- passed away from this earth to Heaven on Thursday, December 13, 2018.\r\n\r\nWilliam (Bill) Howton was born on August 19, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Paul and Thelma Howton.\r\n\r\nHe was a resident of Kerrville, a town he cherished and was always so very proud of for 53 years. He was self-employed for 35 years and was still actively involved up until his death. \r\n\r\nBill has been a member of the Assembly of God Church of Kerrville for 33 years, serving as an active Board Member for the past 28 years. \r\n\r\nHe proudly served in the United States Air Force for 8 years. \r\n\r\nThe greatest love's of Bill's life were his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his family.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his "beautiful bride" of 62 years, Kay Howton; daughters, Cindy Way and husband Billy, Brenda Kemp and husband Greg; grandchildren, Crystie Kneip and husband Matt, Donna Eckermann and husband Wade, Cody Kemp and wife Monica, Rachel Megan Brackin and husband Logan; great-grandchildren, Kora Kneip, Kaden Kneip, Maddie Kneip, Makinzy Kneip, Cash Eckermann, Jocey Eckermann, Peyton Eckermann, Cael Kemp, McKayla Kemp, Bryce Kemp, Hagen Brackin, and Hazel Grace Brackin; sister, Edna Crider; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nBill was preceded in death by his son, Max Allen Howton; parents, Paul and Thelma Howton; sister, Jackie Miller; and brother, Richard Howton.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, December 17, 2018 at First Assembly of God Church officiated by Pastor Phil Jackson. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Cody Kemp, Logan Brackin, Kaden Kneip, Matt Kneip, Wade Eckermann and Cash Eckermann.\r\n\r\nThose who desire, may make donations to the First Assembly of God Church.\r\n\r\n
