WILLIAM READ GREN, 86, of Kerrville TX passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He was born in St. Bernard's Hospital, Chicago, IL to William Rudolph Gren and Grace Mary Read on December 3, 1931. He married Marylou Trimarco on June 29, 1958 in Chicago, IL.\r\n \r\nHe attended school in Hillside, IL and graduated from Proviso High School, Maywood, IL. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the Navy. Upon his return, he joined his father and uncles in the graphics arts, lithography and engraving industry until his retirement.\r\n \r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Ehresman, Swansea, IL.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife, Marylou; daughters, Mary Catherine Gren, Corpus Christi, TX, Janis Anne Gren McManigal and husband Brent Ritchie McManigal, Palm Springs, CA, Linda Lee Gren Morrison and husband Donald Morrison, Portland, TX; sisters, Carol Gans, Johnston, Iowa, Grace and James Delk, Racine, WI, Barbara Fenlon and husband Paul Fenlon, The Villages, FL, Jo Ann Barr and husband Clyde Barr, Lisle, IL; grandchildren, Anthony and Salina Kern, Eagle, ID, Karin and Brian Clarke, Coasteville, PA, Marissa Mueller, Long Beach, CA, Shannon McManigal, Madison, WI, Evan McManigal, Missoula, MT, Bryce McManigal, Palm Springs, CA, Jacob Morrison, Nicole Morrison, Kevin Morrison, Portland, TX; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kenzie, Kaylee Kern, Eagle, ID, Emily, Colin Clarke, Coatesville, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nMemorial services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels, officiated by Deacon Charles Domingues. \r\n \r\nBurial will be at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL at a later date.\r\n \r\nThe family extends their gratitude for the excellent care by Dr. Michael Grocki, the nurses, staff and Chaplain Larry Smith at Alamo Hospice and the Purple team at the Veterans Administration, Kerrville.\r\n
