William England

William Stanford "Peanut" England, 93 years of Comfort, TX, passed away on March 2, 2021, in Comfort, TX. He was born on the Brazos River in Waco, TX, to Paul P. England and Isla Webb on February 17, 1928. He married June Smoot on October 22, 1965, in San Antonio, TX. They met where the San Antonio River crosses Roosevelt Ave.\r\n\r\nHe was a proud Marine who served in Guam, China, and Japan. He enjoyed working for CPS for 36 years; he was an excellent employee and a loyal friend. He was an avid fan of Fords from the 1940s, and he loved to mow. He lived out his years on the beautiful Guadalupe River and has now passed over the River Jordan; Hallelujah! \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father, Paul L. England; mother, Isla Webb England Saucier of McGregor, TX; and son, Mark England.\r\n\r\nSurvived by his loving wife, June Smoot England; children, Kit W (Debra) England, Karie (Michael) Franceus, Shannon Weichert; grandchildren, Geno (Simone) Rosetti, Brittany (Jeff) Groves, Brandon (friend, Shanae Hayes) Swift, Jade Creech, Jacqueline Weichert, Chris Townsend, Nora Manning, and Sarah McDaniel, and many great-grandchildren.\r\n\r\nA viewing will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, March 5th, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, TX. \r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at Old Rock Baptist Church in Somerset, TX at 11 am, Saturday, March 6, 2021 with A.D. Smoot and Randy Smoot officiating.\r\n\r\nMemorials in Peanut's memory may be sent to Old Rock Baptist Church, Box 326, Somerset, TX 78069.\r\n\r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n
