William "Bill" Thomas Donovan, 75, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at his home in Pipe Creek, Texas, after an extended illness. He was surrounded by his family. \r\n\r\nBill was born June 2, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Louise and William H. Boyce. He was preceded in death by his brother Barry Boyce along with his mother, Louise.\r\nBill was later adopted by Marie and Edward J. Donovan.\r\n\r\nBill attended Catholic grammar and high school in Chicago and Bellarmine College in Kentucky. He was a surveyor for the Chicago Park District for 30 years and was most proud of his time spent working on Soldier Field. Bill often like to use his great sense of humor and reminisce about his time in Chicago, but was glad to be in Texas and out of that cold. \r\n\r\nBill is survived by his brothers Bob (Sara) Donovan, Michael (late Sue) Boyce and fiancé Carol Kaufmann; sisters Bridget (Richard) Blumer, Kimberly (Thomas) Maloney, and Kathy (Joe) Vyvijal; nieces and nephews Tim, Nellie, Mike, Edward, Michael, Caitlin, Michael, Matthew, Katie, Brian, Shannon, Kevin and Elizabeth; loving friend, Dolores Boyce of Chicago, as well as his Bandera Family, Marlin and Jillian Roden and their children McKrae and Rance. He had many treasured friends in Bandera County, his home since 1994.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 3:30 pm at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Bandera, Texas, on FM 1077.\r\n\r\nPallbearers will be Marlin Roden, McKrae Decker, Rance Roden, Randy Stokes, Randy Crabb and Zane Brown.\r\n\r\nThe family of Mr. Donovan would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ms. Jennie Harris for the love and care she has provided him over the last year.\r\n
