Wanda-Lee Stephenson, 92, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015, at her residence in Kerrville, Texas. German by heritage, Christmas was her favorite holiday, and this year she was able to celebrate the season in Heaven. She was born March 3, 1923, in Wheeling, West Virginia, to Karl John Brandau and Josephine Mabel (Tully) Brandau. On March 18, 1947, she married Paul E. Stephenson in Wheeling, West Virginia.\r\n \r\nWanda-Lee had a career as an executive secretary in the pet industry in New Jersey prior to her retirement. Known for her giving spirit and infectious wit, she touched many people's lives as a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville where she was active in the sanctuary choir, Primetime Singers, and served as the music librarian. She had a strong desire to help those in need and was involved in many charitable organizations.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Karl C. Stephenson; and brothers, Robert Karl Brandau and Roland Richard Brandau.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her son P. Vincent Stephenson (Jan) of Platte City, Missouri; her daughter, Sharon Lee Roberts (Dwight) of Acton, California; her grandchildren, Michelle Renée Strong (Roger), Eric K. Stephenson, Juliet Lee Roberts, and Kiara Lee Boughner (Corbin); and her great grandchildren, Torin Alexander Strong, Hunter Stephenson Strong, and Violet Fern Strong.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held Friday, January 1, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nServices will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2 PM at Trinity Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor John Wheat. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n \r\n In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Trinity Baptist Church.\r\n \r\n\r\n
