Walter Schaefer\r\n\r\nWalter Schaefer, 75, of Bandera, passed away on June 26, 2017 in San Antonio. \r\nHe was born in LaGrange, Texas to Lona and Walter Schaefer on April 24, 1942.\r\n\r\nWalter is preceded in death by his parents.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 17 years, Shirley; sons, Daniel and Robert Schaefer; sisters, Virginia, Carol and Shirley; step daughter, Shirley Bennett Perry; step son, Ben Boysen; numerous grandchildren and extended family and friends.\r\n\r\nA Visitation will be 2:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2017 at Garden of Memories Mausoleum Chapel, 3250 Fredericksburg Rd., Kerrville, TX.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held 3:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2017 at Garden of Memories Mausoleum Chapel, with Rev Frank Pullin officiating.\r\n\r\nEntombment will follow.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
