Vivien Ives, of Kerrville, passed away Friday, Nov 2, 2018. She was 95 years old.\r\n\r\nVivien was born in Berea, Ohio, the youngest of six children. She graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College. She worked for the War Department late in WWII, then for a radio station in Cleveland. In the 1950s she moved to Kerrville and spent a worthwhile career working for the Department of Agriculture at their local research and test station. After retiring from that she became involved in real estate.\r\n\r\nVivien was an avid golfer and, after retirement, liked to travel the USA and Europe. Although she never married, she kept track of her siblings and their offspring, never forgetting a birthday.\r\n\r\nVivien is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Peter Ives and Berry Ives, both of Albuquerque, NM; Lee D. Ives of Mundelein, IL; Susan Burns of Hudson, WI; Sallie Pritchard of Sun City, AZ; Alison Anderson of Philadelphia, PA, and Don Archibald, Jr. of Kerrville, TX.\r\n\r\nShe will be remembered fondly by all.\r\n\r\nA visitation for her will be held at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville on Wednesday, Nov 14, 2 to 4pm. Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Kerrville.\r\n\r\n
