Vivian L. King, 89 of Kerrville, TX passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 in Kerrville. She was born in Cave City, AK to Joel Slocum and Alpha Roberson Wilkins on September 8, 1925.\r\n\r\nVivian's family moved to Kerrville in 1927 where she attended school and graduated from Tivy High School in 1943. She married Cullen Haden King on July 3, 1944 in Kerrville. Prior to retirement she worked as an office secretary for LCRA. She was a member of First Baptist Church for many years.\r\n \r\nVivian is preceded in death by her parents, her son Paul in 2003 and her husband, Haden in 2007.\r\n \r\nVivian is survived by son, Joe (Linda) King of Eldorado, TX; grandson, Chris (Lisa) King of Kerrville; granddaughters, Johna (Curtis) Roberts of New Braunfels and Kristi (James) Stewart of Keller. Great grandchildren are Andrea Jones & Katherine Masters of New Braunfels; Addison & Bailey King of Kerrville and Regan & Ryan Stewart of Keller.\r\n \r\nThe family will be present for visitation on Monday, August 3. 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories with Mr. Phil Scharnhorst of First Baptist Church officiating.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Assisted Living in Kerrville for their care of Vivian.\r\n \r\nMemorials may be given to First Baptist Church or Peterson Hospice.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
