\r\nDorothy Virginia Dixon, age 83, died on April 3, 2019 in Bandera, Texas. Virginia was born Jan. 16, 1936 in Tampa, Florida to Chancy E. and Dorothy V. Walker.\r\n\r\nShe graduated from Plant High School and attended the University of Tampa. \r\nShe married Dock F. Dixon, Jr. in 1955 at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. \r\nShe worked for the Department of Agriculture before becoming a mother and fulltime homemaker.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her husband, Dock F. Dixon, Jr., her children, Patricia Ann Allen and her husband Marc Allen, Jeffrey Walker Dixon and Val Tiemann and Merry Lynn Dixon, and her brother, David Walker. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jason Reed Brown, Matthew James Brown, Jeffrey Richard Brown, Olivia Dixon Sanson, Lindsay Allyn Hendricks, Sydney Erin Hendricks, Cameron David Reyes and Camille Frances Reyes, and great-granddaughter, Kimber Micah Brown, and Kitty Mama.\r\n\r\nVirginia will be remembered as an avid gardener, expert seamstress and consummate cat lover. She is a past president of the Social Order of the Beauceant, Chapter 159, in San Antonio.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera, with burial to follow at the Bandera Cemetery.\r\n\r\nVery special thanks to the wonderful caregivers Ashley and Becky with River City Hospice, and Robin, JoAnn and Duke with Adept Home Health.
