Virgie Mae Fleeman, age 84, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Virgie was born on October 25, 1930, in Hornersville, Missouri to Elmer Dee and Mary Viola Trosper Edwards. \r\n \r\nOn July 9, 1948 she married David Fleeman in Paragould, Arkansas. They later moved to Southwest Michigan where they raised their family and lived happily for many years. \r\n \r\nThroughout her life, Virgie was dedicated to God, her family, and her friends. And everyone was a friend - she never met a stranger. We will never know all of the lives she touched but we do know that after retiring to Kerrville in 1990, she volunteered for 4+ years at Heart of the Hills Hospice. She also worked part time as a care giver to the terminally ill. She attended several local churches and was actively involved at each one. \r\n \r\nWhether Virgie was strolling on the beaches and through the woods of Southwest Michigan or exploring the Texas Hill Country, she was always at one with nature. \r\n \r\nVirgie is survived by her two sons, Sam Fleeman and wife Lynn of Naples, Florida, and Paul Fleeman and wife Machelle of Kerrville. She is also survived by sisters, Glenda Flanery of Kerrville, and Virginia Clubb and husband Leroy of St. Louis, Missouri and brother, Jerry Edwards and wife Joy of Lawrence, Michigan; grandchildren, John Fleeman of Ontario, California, Laura Fleeman Sinclair and husband Shannon of Hartford, Michigan, Tessa Young of Naples, Florida, and David Fleeman of Kerrville; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband David Fleeman; and her brother, William Edwards. \r\n \r\nThe family would like to thank Edgewater Care Center and PRMC's West Wing Surgical 2 staff for their care and their attention. \r\n \r\nA memorial service will be held at a later date. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers and in recognition of Virgie's love of nature, the family requests that you plant a tree, (native to your area), to honor the memory of a loved one.\r\n \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
