Vern Lore, 63, of Bandera, passed away February 22, 2015. He was born in Casper, Wyoming to Wayne and Dorothy Lore, May 5, 1951. Vern was married to Laura Rohan on April 29, 1983 i8n San Marcos. \r\n\r\nHe worked for Bandera County EMS from the year of 1998 and was active up until his illness of 2014. He was always finding ways to make his coworkers, friends, family and his patients laugh. Many of his patients would later call or come by the station to express their gratitude for how well Vern took care of them, even if it was just holding their hand, in their time of need. He went above and beyond for his patients and followed up whenever he could.\r\n\r\nHe was also a Volunteer Firefighter for Castle Lake Fire Department for a few years and was also president during some of that time. He worked for several different companies as an architect. He served in the Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.\r\n\r\nVern is survived by his spouse, Laura Lore; his children, Eric Lamb, Jennifer Kilpatrick, Ansel Lore, and Ellen Cummings; his brothers, Stan Lore, and Neil Lore; and his grandchildren, Justin, KC, Hayden, Phoebe, and Micheal.\r\n\r\nA celebration of his life will be Saturday, 10:00 AM, March 7th at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
