Vera Ruth Mitchael Wright, 97, passed from this life Monday, February 27, 2017 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born October 6, 1919 in Kirbyville, Texas, to Bazil Albert 'BA' Mitchael, Sr., and Vera Bell Deitiker Mitchael. She married Vincent Chester Wright on March 23, 1946 in Liberty, Texas.\r\n \r\nRuth went to school and graduated in Buna, Texas. Prior to her marriage, she worked, as did her siblings, in the first telephone office in Buna which her parents owned. She was a member, and actively involved, in the First United Methodist Church. She served in several offices in both the women's society at FUMC as well as the Buna Garden Club. She and her husband, Vincent, were members of Eastern Star. They served as Grand Matron and Grand Patron in 1954, representing Buna at the State Convention in Houston that same year. Ruth and Vincent, both, enjoyed road trips, camping in their RV, and fishing. They loved playing ‘42' with friends and just getting together with people to visit.\r\n \r\nShe is preceded in death by her parents; Vincent, her husband of 56 years, to whom she was fiercely devoted; one brother; and five sisters.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by her brother, William Rosco 'Ronnie' Mitchael and his wife, Tomye Mitchael of League City, Texas; daughter, Brenda Lynn Wright Humphrey and her husband, Roger Allen Humphrey of Kerrville, Texas; granddaughters, Holly Suzanne Humphrey Cobb of Orange, Texas and Whitney Allison Humphrey Moreno and husband Alexander Moreno of Austin, Texas. Her great-grandchildren are Shelbey Lynn Wiggins and Walker Allen Wiggins and Maximus Christopher Moreno and Bryhton Alexandria Moreno, and she has numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Stringer Funeral Home in Buna. Services will be at 11:00 AM, March 18, 2017, First United Methodist Church, Buna, Texas, with Reverend Jeff Stull officiating. \r\n \r\nThe family wishes to thank the loving and nurturing staff at Hilltop Village in Kerrville.
