Una Reiter

Una Miller Reiter passed away on December 24, 2016 at her home in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n \r\nUna was born in Kerrville on July 2, 1923 and graduated from Tivy High School in 1941 where she was valedictorian of her graduating class.\r\n \r\nShe attended college in San Antonio at Our Lady of the Lake University and obtained a degree in Business. After graduation, she returned to Kerrville and held several jobs, including managing the books for her father's furniture store, George B. Miller Furniture Company, on Main Street.\r\n \r\nIn 1951, Una married Dr. Charles A. Reiter and moved to San Antonio where they lived and worked together. Dr. Reiter was a Dermatologist and Una managed his office. They had two children, George and Antoinette. Upon retirement, they moved to their ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas. Una later returned to live the rest of her life in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, George and Antoinette Miller, her husband of over 40 years, Dr. Charles Reiter, her son Dr. George Reiter, and multiple step brothers and sister. Survivors include daughter Antoinette Dedman and husband Steve, daughter-in-law Lois Reiter, grandchildren Stephen, Claudia, Julia, Emily and Leslie, and five great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nRosary is planned for 6:00 pm, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. Services will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.\r\n \r\nThe family requests that memorials be sent to Notre Dame Catholic Church.\r\n \r\nUna's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the ladies that assisted Una at her home during the past few years and to Hospice for their kindness and support.\r\n
