Tommie Jean Gill Langley of Kerrville, Texas passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n\r\nTommie Jean was born April 27, 1931 in Edinburg, Texas to Thomas and Charlotte Gill. She was the youngest of four daughters. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Denley, Charlotte and Claris. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Langley, in Mission, Texas on June 16, 1950.They were married for over 68 years. They moved to Kerrville, Texas in April of 1957. When her children were in Jr. High and High School she went to work as a bank teller and later worked at the Convention and Visitors Bureau until she retired. In both positions she enjoyed interacting with the public.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include her husband, Ralph; son, Tom Langley and Leola Lamb of Austin, Texas; daughter, Lois Cadwallader and husband Mark, of Mountain Park, New Mexico; son, Ken Langley of Kerrville; grandchildren, Jennifer Miller and husband, Lyle of Floresville, Texas, Jason Sprott and wife Rachel of Pullman, Washington, Kimberley Paws of Mountain Park, New Mexico and Victoria Cadwallader of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great-grandchildren Kyle and Ashley Miller of Floresville, Texas; and sister-in-law Myra Johnson and husband Jack of Charlotte, North Carolina.\r\n\r\n\r\nTommie enjoyed going on family trips, singing in the church choir, flower gardening, and feeding and watching birds. She watched for and enjoyed the serendipities in life. She believed in leaving a place better than you found it.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held 5-7 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. \r\n\r\nA celebration of life for Tommie will be held at 10AM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville. Interment to follow at Garden of Memories, Kerrville. \r\n\r\n
