Major Thomas Howard Rainwater, Salvation Army (Retired), age 77, of Kerrville, Texas was promoted to glory on June 15, 2018. He was born in Waxahachie, Texas to parents, Howard and Velma Rainwater, on October 27, 1940. Tom was married to his best friend, Leslie Rainwater, for 56 years.\r\n\r\nHe attended Wharton County Junior College and University of Texas. Major Rainwater had an illustrious career with the Salvation Army, retiring with the rank of Major. He and his wife, Leslie, led many people to the Lord during his tenure. \r\n\r\nTom was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Velma Rainwater.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Leslie Rainwater; children, David and wife Sandra Rainwater, Randy and wife Veronica Rainwater, and Todd Rainwater; brother, Ed and his wife Lucille Rainwater; granddaughter, Chelsey Kitchen; grandsons, Chris and wife Tammi Rainwater, Kyle Rainwater, and Andrew Rainwater; great-grandchildren, Reid, Scout, and Wyatt Rainwater; and spiritual daughter, Major Missy Cordero-Romack\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, please donate to the Salvation Army in Kerrville, Texas (address same as below).\r\n\r\nA Celebration of Life will be held at the Kerrville Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center; Salvation Army, located at 201 Holdsworth Dr., Kerrville, Texas 78028 on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Services will be administered by the Salvation Army.\r\n\r\n
