Thomas R. Fowler, 94, died February 14, 2017 at River Point Assisted Living/Memory Care. He was born to Thomas and May (Stoessel) Fowler on July 10, 1922 in New York City. Tom graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, MA in 1943 and was commissioned a Lieutenant (jg) in the United States Navy. He served in the Pacific theater for three years. Tom retired in 1983 as president of the natural resources group of W.R. Grace after a career of 40 years that took him to posts in Chile and Peru. He moved to Kerrville, Texas in 1996.\r\n \r\nTom is survived by his wife Natividad Llado, known as Naty, of Barcelona, Spain and Lima, Peru; his three children, Susan Bryant (Rob) of North Sutton, NH, Barbara F. Rose of Milford, CT, and Thomas A. Fowler (Karen) of Beaufort, SC; six grandchildren, Edward J. Crawford (Debbie) of Wilton, CT, Jennifer Richardella (James) of Cranford, NJ, Elizabeth Bryant of Boston, MA, Suzanna Dungan (Sam) of Jersey City, NJ, Matthew Bryant of Bethesda, MD, and Megan Fowler and her fiancé, Jesse Robinson of Lancaster, PA; and three great grandchildren.\r\n \r\nOver his years in Kerrville, Tom was an active volunteer and supporter of the VA Hospital, the Raphael Community Free Clinic, and Our Lady of the Hills School. He also participated in the Knights of Columbus at Notre Dame Catholic Church, which he and Naty attended.\r\n \r\nA celebration of Tom's life will be held at 10 AM, Friday, March 10, 2017 at Notre Dame Catholic Church officiated by Father David Wagner.\r\n \r\nGifts in Tom's memory may be made to Raphael Community Free Clinic, 1807 Water Street, Kerrville, TX 78028.
