Theresa Marie Ventro, age 90 of Kerrville, Texas passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 in a local care center. She was born on April 13, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to Rene and Leonine Flory. She married Thomas Victor Ventro on November 17, 1956.\r\n \r\nTheresa worked in child care at Zion Lutheran Church. She made afghans for Five Star Child Care, Dick Jacobs, Any Baby Can and for family members. She also made blankets for the veterans at the VA Hospital and crocheted triangle shawls. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents, Rene and Leonine Flory; her husband, Thomas Victor Ventro on March 21, 1985; brother, Rene Flory, who was a Marine and Purple Heart recipient that died in Korea on June 9, 1951; and by a daughter-in-law, Viki Ventro. \r\n \r\nShe is survived by sons, Richard J. Ventro and Thomas R. Ventro; grandchildren, Tommy Ventro and Lesah Ventro.\r\n \r\nSpecial thanks to the ICU and emergency wards at Peterson Regional Medical Center and the hospice organizations.\r\n \r\nNo services will be held.\r\n \r\n
