Sylvia Chacon Leyva went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on June 21, 2019. She was born in Kerrville, TX on June 14, 1956 to parents, Serapia C. Moreno and Estevan T. Chacon Sr. \r\n\r\nSylvia lived in Kerrville most of her life and worked for Sid Peterson Hospital, Mi Ranchito Restaurant and HEB. \r\n\r\nShe was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irma Chacon, Guadalupe Carrington and Patsy Palomo; brothers, Robert Chacon, Joe Henry Chacon, and Estevan T. Chacon Jr.; and beloved dog, Georgie. \r\n\r\nShe is survived by her only son, James Chacon (Amy); 3 grandsons; sisters, Henrietta Fadai (John), Olivia Vela (Tony), and Leticia Ojeda- Chacon (Erica); and brother, Jon P. Moreno. She was the precious Nani to many nephews, nieces and loved ones who adored her and miss her. \r\n\r\nA memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Calvary Temple Church, with Pastor Del Way officiating. \r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and blessings to Dr. Rebecca Barrington and staff, Peterson Hospice, PRMC nurses, Girling Senior Services, Lizette Gallagher Property Manager at Kerrville Housing Authority and Hilltop Village Nursing Home.
