Sylvia Jane (Dale) Alexander, age 80, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 in Kerrville. She was born in Sabinal, Texas to George Joseph Dale and Ruth Lee (Eastham) Dale on May 18, 1938. She married John Nathan Alexander on August 2, 1957 in Canada.\r\n \r\nShe went to school at Tivy. She attended Schreiner Institute (now Schreiner University) during 1956-1957 as one of the first six women to be accepted into the Institute. She worked as District Manager of the San Antonio Light and the San Antonio Express News for over 30 years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.\r\n \r\nSylvia was preceded in death by her spouse, John Nathan Alexander; her parents, George and Ruth Dale; her siblings, George T. Dale, Gloria Adcock (Dave), Betty Dale (Morgan), and David Adcock.\r\n \r\nSylvia is survived by her son, Johnny R. Alexander (Achie); her daughters, Brenda L. Albrecht (Randy), Sandra J. Stacy (James), and Deena L. Garza (Joe); brother, Morgan W. Dale; sisters, Nettie J. Culwell (Vernon), and Dovie F. Marsh (Leslie); her grandchildren, Virginia F. Kegin, Jennifer J. Stacy, Denise M. Garza, James N. Stacy, Alexander A. Albrecht (Sydney), Kayla A. Munoz (Rafael), Shane E. Albrecht, Benjamin P. Alexander, and Paul E. Albrecht; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Joey and Nathan Boner; Hayden, Layne and Kendra Stacy; Kris Lynn and Maliyah Munoz; Acelyn Snell; Amariah and Alexandria Kegin; and Saylor and Quincy Albrecht.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nFuneral services and burial will be held at 9 AM, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Nichols Cemetery and will be performed by Rev. Bill Johnson. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Alexander Albrecht, Shane Albrecht, Paul Albrecht, Rafael Munoz, Joey Boner, Hayden Stacy, Layne Stacy, and Tracy Heathman.\r\n \r\nThe Alexander and Dale families wish to extend our sincerest thanks to the ER and 3rd Floor West medical staff and clergy at Peterson Regional Medical Center for their compassion and care of our beloved Angel.\r\n\r\n\r\n
