Suzanne Clark Pearce, age 84, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 after a brief illness, surrounded by family. Born in McAllen, TX on January 13, 1931, she was the only daughter of Roy and Elsa Clark. She graduated from Southern Methodist University where she was a very proud Zeta Tau Alpha. She went on to receive a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy at Stanford University, and practiced in Dallas for many years until retirement.\r\n \r\nSuzanne met her future husband, Allan Mason Pearce, while both were summer employees at Camp Arrowhead in Hunt, TX. They married shortly thereafter and raised three children together. Though they made their home in Dallas, the Hill Country had a special place in their hearts, and they purchased their second home and retired there. \r\n \r\nNever one to sit still, Suzanne embarked on her second career, teaching English as a Second Language to the local community. She made the course material come to life by sharing regional recipes and favorite personal stories. She had a sharp wit and a keen sense of humor and was beloved by many in the community. She enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes, working puzzles, and being in the company of her family and faithful animal companions. An avid sports fan, she followed her favorite Texas sports teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs, religiously.\r\n \r\nSuzanne was preceded in death by her husband, Allan, after forty six years of marriage. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Petrene Espinoza and husband, Mauricio of Virginia Beach, VA; daughter, Perin Pearce of Kerrville, TX; son, Peyton Pearce of Kerrville, TX; and beloved grandchildren, Christopher, Gabrielle, Eric and Catherine.\r\n \r\nA celebration of her life will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Hunt United Methodist Church, 120 Merritt Road, Hunt, TX at 2:00 PM.\r\n\r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
