\r\nAfter one hundred and six years on this earth, Susie Jones, passed away on March 2, 2017. She was as feisty and ornery as they come, but she could also be one of the most loving people around. Susie will be sorely missed.\r\n\r\nSusie Jones was born January 16, 1911 in Liberty Hill, Texas to John Boyd Craft and Mary Ivory Hagins Craft of eastern Kentucky, the fifth of six children. Susie grew up on a farm outside Bishop, Texas.\r\n \r\nIn 1930, Susie married Thomas Gilbert Livergood at 19 years of age. Kenneth Gilbert Livergood was born 3 years later. Susie and Gil divorced in 1945.\r\n\r\nSusie worked over 20 years for Southwestern Bell as an operator. She would tell hilarious stories about her years working with those "girls" and their antics.\r\n\r\nSusie married Ray Jones later in life. They had a loving and happy marriage until his death in September 1988, at 86.\r\nSusie is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Richard Clint, William Curney, and Marvin "Buck" and sisters, Lillie May, and Icy. She is also preceded by both husbands, Gil Livergood, and Ray Jones, and by her son Kenneth Livergood who passed away January 19, 1980.\r\n\r\nShe is survived by her grandson, Gareth Livergood and her great grandchildren, Danielle and Carlton Livergood.\r\n\r\nGraveside services for Susie Jones will be 2 pm Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n\r\nFuneral arrangements are entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n\r\n\r\n
