Susie Bauer

Ima Sue Hollimon Bauer (Susie), 85, of Kerrville passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Kerrville to Clergy Eugene Hollimon and Bessie Laura Freeman Hollimon on January 26, 1933. She married Edison Morrel Bauer on October 14, 1950 in Kerrville.\r\n \r\nShe attended and graduated from Tivy High School. She worked as a hair dresser for many years and then found her knack with ceramics and crocheting. She was known for her baby booties and many other beautiful pieces.\r\n \r\nSusie was preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, sister, and three brothers.\r\n \r\nSusie is survived by children, Katherine Sue Leary of Austin, Barbara Gayle Bruton of Kerrville, and Cynthia Ann Bauer Oldenburgh with husband Charles Robert Oldenburgh of Austin; brother, John Edgar Hollimon of Fredericksburg; grandchildren, John Edison Leary of Austin, and Laura Suann Bruton of Kerrville; along with numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 10 am, Saturday July 14, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Rev. Frankie Enloe.\r\n \r\nThe family of Susie wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Doctor Rosson, the staff at Peterson Hospital, Peterson Home Health, Palliative, and Hospice.\r\n
