Sue Beth Lewis Gipson, 67, of Kerrville passed away on March 11, 2015, at her residence. Sue was born February 25, 1948, in San Angelo, Texas, to Lucy Catherine Fisher Lewis and Roscoe Vernon Lewis. \r\n \r\nShe grew up and lived on her grandparents' land, King and Aurora Fisher, went to school in Junction, Texas, and graduated from high school in 1966. She later earned her undergraduate degree and two master's degrees in the field of education and counseling. She worked for several years as a special education and elementary teacher, and then became an elementary school counselor. Sue retired as an elementary school counselor at Nimitz Elementary after approximately 30 years of service. In retirement, she had a career in real estate and was partner with her husband, Beck, in Gipson Real Estate Services. Sue was a woman full of life, competing in triathlons and half marathons into her 60s, reveling in the accomplishments of her grandsons and enjoying life and sunsets at her beloved ranch on the Llano river in Junction, Texas.\r\n \r\nSue is preceded in death by her parents Lucy Catherine Fisher Lewis, Roscoe Vernon Lewis, and brothers, Ted Lewis and Vernon Lewis.\r\n \r\nSue is survived by her husband T. Beck Gipson, daughter Kimberly Castleberry Shields and husband Clint Shields of Dripping Springs, daughter Krista Castleberry Roberts and husband Rance Roberts of Kerrville, grandchildren Braden Shields, Reid Shields, Mason Roberts, Fisher Roberts, Luke Roberts, brother Don Lewis, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. \r\n \r\nVisitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2015, at Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.\r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2015, at Grimes Funeral Chapel with Dr. Lonny Poe of Sunset Canyon Baptist Church of Dripping Springs, officiating. Burial and graveside service will follow at Junction Cemetery. \r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Don Lewis, King Lewis, Rance Roberts, Mason Roberts, Clint Shields, and Braden Shields. Honorary pallbearers will be Reid Shields, Fisher Roberts and Luke Roberts. \r\n[contact-form-7 id="73" title="Send Condolences"]
