Steven Norton

July 9, 1968 — August 17, 2015

Steve Norton, passed away from this life into the presence of our Lord on August 17, 2015, at the young age of 47. He was born on July 9, 1968, in San Antonio. After several moves, he ended up in the beautiful Hill Country of Kerrville, graduating from Tivy High School in 1987. \r\n \r\nAfter a long, wild, and rebellious life in his younger years, he settled down, and on July 14, 1998 his beautiful daughter, Paige Norton was born. She was the light of his life. He would do anything for her, and he was so proud to be a dad. \r\n \r\nIt wasn't until 2004 that he met his soul mate, Jennifer Ann Hickman. After dating for 3 years, they tied the knot on November 3, 2007. Instantly they had an extended family of 4 more children which he loved so much. \r\n \r\nSteve was well known in the community with his business Norco Pest Control. He serviced many homes and businesses in our community, making friends wherever he went. To know Steve was to love Steve. He had a wonderful, outgoing, and funny personality, and a contagious laugh. Steve loved spending all his free time with his family. He loved antique shops, movies, cycling, watching the History Channel, working to make their yard beautiful, remodeling and decorating their new home, never resting. Steve even liked to wash and detail his truck on a daily basis. He always cared what other people thought of him. Steve was a gentle, generous, giving, and caring man, always helping and doing for others in need. He did an excellent job of taking care of his family that he loved more than life. Steve will be greatly missed by all. \r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife Jennifer Norton of Kerrville; mother, Lillian Fox; daughter, Paige Norton; step-children, Ashleigh Ross, Zachary Ross, Andrea Suta, and Vivianna Suta, all of Kerrville; sisters, Diana Norton of Salem, OR, and Lynda Stewart of San Antonio; brother, Josh Breen of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Braylon Ross and Dawan Armelin; and numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, and numerous other relatives. \r\n \r\nA celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 1 PM, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, with Pastor Mark Rylander officiating. \r\n
