Stephen W. Andrews, age 70, of Mountain Home, passed away on February 9, 2019 in Kerrville. He was born in Peoria, IL to Francis and Mildred (Hardesty) Andrews on January 9, 1949. \r\n\r\nHe graduated from Purdue University in 1971. He married Cheryl Miller on April 7, 2007 in Mountain Home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked as a Mechanical Engineer and P.E. for 42 years, most recently retiring from TRC Engineering. He was a pilot and contributing member of Kerrville Civil Air Patrol Squadron for 16 years as Deputy Squadron Commander for Cadets, Safety Officer, Emergency Services, Officer and Ground School Instructor for Texas Wing CAP Mountain Flying clinic. \r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Scott; his son, Michael (Jeche) Andrews; his granddaughter, Kiara Andrews; his wife's children, Marci (Ray) Scholz and Garrett (Heather) Nelson and her five grandchildren. \r\n\r\nHe was dedicated to his wife and enjoyed sharing their ranch with hunters. He loved to read and fly. He was a master of wit and humor. He will be missed by everyone.\r\n\r\nVisitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nServices will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Kerrville officiated by Father John Onstott.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to Kerrville Civil Air Patrol with "Cadets" in memo section, sent to Harry Cook's house in Tierra Linda. \r\n\r\nStephen's family wishes to thank the staff at Texas Oncology, PRMC, Hilltop Village and Peterson Hospice.
