J.F. "Sonny" Richardson, 82, of Bandera, TX formerly of Robbins, passed away in his home on December 24, 2020. \r\n\r\nHe was born in San Angelo, TX to S. Frank and Lela Richardson and one of three children, L.V. and Leasel, all who preceded him in death. He graduated from San Angelo High, and attended Sul Ross University before completing his degree at Texas Tech.\r\n\r\nHe married his beloved and adoring spouse Gloria, on June 6, 1981, and they shared the love of their four children Melinda, Jill, Mark and Jon, who blessed him with 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.\r\n\r\nSonny lived a life full of dedication to his family, friends, hard work, and caring for others. From his early days of helping in a local grocery butcher shop, Rodeo Clown during his later years, Cable Company in Alpine, working with his father in his electrical business, of which he eventually owned and managed ( Frank's Electric) to Teacher, Coach, Vocational Director, and Asst. Supt. of Schools in Fort Stockton. More recently, he oversaw Maintenance at Center Ranch in Centerville, TX where he said he retired, even though he didn't stop. He began building wood crafted goods that took he and spouse to various flea markets and sales.\r\n\r\nDue to discouraged gatherings, we welcome you joining his family and friends as we host an online, live Celebration of Life service Sunday, Feb. 28 at 5:00 P.M. on the Facebook page of Living Hope Church of DeRidder hosted by long-time friend and Pastor Kevin Coward.\r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Sonny to the West Texas Boys Ranch in San Angelo.\r\n
