Sonja Grove

Sonja Margaret Grove, age 79 of Center Point, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born on September 3, 1939 in Kupang, on the Island of Timor in Indonesia to Joseph and Geraldine (Van Burden) Guntenspergen. \r\n \r\nSonja worked in banking as a Teller Manager. She loved music, birds, gardening and especially loved her family. She was the one that was always in charge.\r\n \r\nSonja will be greatly missed by Sandy and Nacho.\r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Frank Grove Jr.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include daughter, Leslie Kay Grove and husband, Andrew Cohen of Austin; son,\r\nRandy Todd Grove and fiancée, Ryan Hunter of Center Point; sister, Evelyn Regensburg of Holland; brother, Cornelis Robert Guntenspergen and wife, Mary of Kerrville; and one grandchild, Cody Grove.\r\n \r\nServices will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Grimes Funeral Chapels officiated by Brother Thomas Jeffers. Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.\r\n
