Shirley Annette Groner, age 80 of Kerrville, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in a local care center. She was born May 19, 1935 in Dallas, TX to Roy Lee Abrams and Mildred (Godfrey) Abrams. \r\n \r\nShe was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Groner Jr. on August 11, 2012 and brother, James Alvin Abrams.\r\n \r\nShirley was a secretary for Braniff Airlines where she was in charge of scheduling the flight attendants. She loved to travel, to play Bridge, and to cook. She was a member of Kerrville Church of Christ on Loop 534.\r\n \r\nShe is survived by brothers, Harry Abrams of Mountain Home and Johnny Nolan Abrams of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nServices will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Kerrville Church of Christ officiated by Dr. Greg Cummings.\r\n \r\nBurial will be held privately at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kerrville Church of Christ.\r\n \r\n
