Sharon Ann Peck-Jones, 66, born Sharon Ann Smith, of Pipe Creek, went to be with The Lord on December 16, 2015. She was born in West Point, New York, on February 8, 1949 to Dora Bagby and James R. Smith. She married Dennis Peck in 1971 in San Antonio, and later married Peter Jones in 1997 at Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera. \r\n \r\nShe went to school in San Antonio and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. She worked as an insurance underwriter for many years. She later went to college at UTSA where she earned a Masters Degree in English, along with several distinguishable honors. She was a Sunday-school teacher, an extremely talented artist, an art teacher, a substitute teacher, and an award-winning cook. \r\n \r\nShe whole-heartedly loved and cared for her son Daniel, and her son Adam, who was born with several disabilities, while being disabled herself. \r\n \r\nSharon is survived by her husband, Peter Jones, her sons Adam and Daniel, her brothers and sisters, Bruce Brucks, Gaylynn Medina, Susan Brucks, and Keith Brucks, her father James R. Smith, her grandchildren Denali, Willow, Melody, and Eve, her nephews and nieces, Chris, Cody, Jeremy, Josh, Andrew, Amanda, Brittany and Audrey, and her daughter-in-law, Deidra. \r\n \r\nShe had a golden smile with a beautiful laugh. She was the light and the warmth of any room she was in. She deeply adored her pets, travel, reading, English literature, writing, studying history, and cooking. Above all, she loved being around family. \r\n \r\nFuneral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. January 2, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Bandera, Texas with Minister Russ Lambert officiating. \r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate in Sharon's name to reputable charities for autism and child abuse. \r\n
