Sharon Gelsone

Sharon Kay Gelsone, 71, of Kerrville, passed away on May 30th, 2018 in Kerrville, Texas. She was born in Odessa, Texas to Homer and Edith Wallace on May 29th, 1947.\r\n\r\nShe attended Travis High School and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as an RN in the operating room at Sid Peterson Hospital for 30 years.\r\n\r\nSharon is preceded in death by her brother Michal Wallace, father Homer Wallace, and grandparents Ray and Vera Martin.\r\n\r\nSharon is survived by her children, son Jeffrey and his wife Carol, son Edward and his wife Jennifer, and daughter Amy, her siblings, sister Linda Henson and husband Junior, brother David Wallace and wife Kim, and sister Debbie Rash and husband Ricky, her mother Edith Wallace, and her grandchildren, Nathan, Ansley, Makenna, Austin, Gregory, Gus, Gunnar, and Gideon.\r\n\r\nA private memorial service is scheduled for Saturday. Sharon has chosen to donate her body to educating medical students at the University of Texas.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given for research to Alzheimer's Association. The family of Sharon wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Villagio, Hospice, and Dolores for the care you all have provided these last couple of years.\r\n\r\n\r\n
