Shannon Taylor Hyde, 62, of Ingram, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2019 at her home. She was born in Beaumont, Texas to E. Brownrigg Taylor and Ann Templeton Taylor on May 24, 1956.\r\n\r\nShe worked as a real estate agent in Austin before returning to her hometown of Beaumont, where she worked as a legal assistant. After spending most of her life living in Beaumont, Shannon moved to the hill country in 2016 where she always dreamed of living after attending Camp Mystic as a young girl, and was overjoyed to live closer to her daughter, Cassie. \r\n\r\nShannon enjoyed spending time in her garden - always keeping it pristine, beautiful and flourishing, driving back roads around the hill country to see what treasure she might find, and more recently, began collecting rocks. She loved sitting on her porch, watching the hummingbirds come to the feeders she left for them and just enjoying the beauty of nature all around her. Her most recent joy was the wedding preparation and marriage of her daughter, Cassie, to husband, Thomas Mitchell Wilson. Shannon was a great and giving friend, and her sweet presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.\r\n\r\nShannon is preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Brownrigg Taylor. \r\n\r\nShannon is survived by her daughter, Cassie Hyde Wilson and husband Mitchell of Kerrville, Texas; sister, Lynn Taylor Moor of Front Royal, Virginia; nieces Cristin Moor and Annie Moor-Reitz and husband, Dan; and great niece, Ada. \r\n\r\nA memorial will be held in Ingram, Texas later this spring.
