Samuel Shockey Miller, 69, of Bandera, Texas passed away peacefully on March 19, 2019 in Bandera. He was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Medina for most of his life by his grandparents and father, Bo Miller, who all preceded him in death. He worked his way up in the oil field business, eventually becoming an offshore superintendent over several rigs all over the world; he was very proud of his accomplishments. \r\n\r\nSam would tell you the happiest time of his life was the last 10 years that he was married to his soulmate, Lou Miller, of Bandera. Together they ran three successful retail businesses in Bandera, which he enjoyed immensely, going to market to buy for the stores were great times shared together. Sam was very proud of his step-son, Colby Miller, who he loved like his own son. Sam and Colby shared a love for hunting and fishing together. \r\n\r\nA special thanks to Dr. Steven Bailey, Dr. Yolanda Marcos, and Peterson Home Healthcare who lovingly cared for him as his health declined. \r\n\r\nSam was a blessing from God to all that knew him, he will be remembered for his kindness, selflessness, and sense of humor with a laugh that was unforgettable. He was a wonderful, loving husband, step-father and friend. He will never be forgotten. \r\n\r\nA celebration of Sam's life will be held at a date soon to be announced. \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
