Russell Parsons

Russell H. Parsons passed away at his home in Vanderpool, Texas on Thursday, March 21, 2019 after a series of health issues. He was 89 years old.\r\n\r\nRussell was born February 18, 1933 in Harlingen, Texas to Thelma Rowe Parsons and Jack Russell Parsons. He served his country honorably in the Army from 1953 until 1955.\r\n\r\nPreceded in death by his parents; brother William Parsons; infant daughter Tracy; infant son Matthew; and his wife Saundra, Russell is survived by daughter Connie Simpson and her husband Rick of Summit, Mississippi; step daughter Kathy McEwen of Nederland, Texas; step son James Wisner and his wife Amanda of The Woodlands, Texas; sister in law Dora Mae Parsons; grandchildren Karrie Simpson, Katie Douglas and husband Aaron, Jake Simpson, Tyler and Evan Wisner, Rebecca Ferguson, Karen Nall, Bryan and Justin Heiner; great grandchild Jude Douglas; nephew Dwayne Parsons; 2 special friends Ron Brown and Jimmie Dribbens as well as many extended family and friends.\r\n\r\nA graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Vanderpool Cemetery in Vanderpool, TX with Chad Chamness officiating.
