Rudy Montanez, 53, went to be with the Lord at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015.\r\n\r\nHe was preceded in death by some of his beloved family in Christ: mother, Angelita Montanez; sister, Lisa Olivares; and brother, Joe Montanez. \r\n\r\nRudy, a native of Kerrville, was a man of many talents. He was a master concrete man, barbecuer, and he loved caring for his trees. \r\n\r\nRudy loved his family deeply - from the heart - and his many friends as well. He was a good man, the best of the best. He never met a stranger.\r\n\r\nThough he loved music of all kinds, the ‘90s and ‘80s were the best to him.\r\n\r\nHe saw the Cowboys win the first game of this season. Go Cowboys!\r\n\r\nRudy will be deeply missed by his wife and family always. \r\n\r\n‘Til we meet again, dear husband. \r\n\r\nRudy also is survived by his father, Robert Montanez, and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. \r\n\r\nRudy's memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville. \r\n\r\nInstead of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or Humane Society. Thank you!\r\n
