Roy Alfaro Rodriguez passed away on February 1, 2020 at his home in Ingram, Texas. There will be a rosary on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 6 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels, Bandera, TX and a funeral service at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bandera, TX. on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery on Hwy. 1077.\r\n\r\nKnow all men by these presents:\r\nNCCM (AW/SW) Roy A Rodriguez, USN ret. accepted his final assignment 2/1/2020. He succumbed to the effects of a terminal diagnosis complicated by his biology (he had saltwater in his veins instead of blood). He is preceded in death (or decommission) by both his parents, favorite wife, and the USS Saipan. He is survived by an extensive network of family and friends, including his beloved granddaughter "Baby ducks", as well as a desire to prove you wrong. He has stated he was privileged to serve thirty honorable years in the US NAVY ('69-'99). He enjoyed classic car restoration, traveling, and exceeding DOD life expectancy estimates for a retired Master Chief. His life was cut short, but he lived more than you ever will. If you were unfortunate enough to never meet him, his family is sorry you were never given the opportunity to find out what's wrong with you.
