Roy Nast

Roy Nast, 76, of Utopia, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2020 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born to Ruby "Baby" Lyle and Herman Nast on August 23, 1944 in Tyler, Texas. He married Billie Rawls on June 11, 1965 in Corpus Christi, Texas.\r\n\r\nHe graduated from W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi and attended Texas A&M College. He was a salesman and worked many years for Crossmark, a food brokerage firm, calling on HEB. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army. He was involved in youth rodeo with his boys. He served as a director and President of TYRA, Alamo Area Rodeo Association, Region 6 High School Rodeo Association. He was an avid golfer and served as President of Utopia Golf Assoc. He and Billie attended Utopia United Methodist where he served in many positions on the Board. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, a selfless man, loved by all who knew him.\r\n\r\nRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Baby and Herman Nast and his in laws Bill and Louise Rawls.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife of 55 years, Billie; his sons Roy Lyle Nast, Jr. and Richard Herman Nast; his daughters-in-law, Melissa Nast and Michele Nast; his grandchildren, Benjamin Lyle Nast, Jacob Daniel Nast, Sarah Elise Nast, Ava Elizabeth Nast, and Samantha Michele Nast. Roy also is survived by his sister Carolyn Wallock, sisters-in-law Pammy Pittman and Judy Herrmann, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.\r\n\r\nGraveside services and burial will be held Saturday, October 17, 2020, 11:00 am at the Bryan City Cemetery, Bryan, Texas.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be given to the Utopia EMS, who transported and cared for him many times, Utopia EMS, P.
