Ron lived his life in dedication to his faith, country, and family. Anyone who knew him knew how he cherished his wife, Marie, whom he married on April 4, 1970.
Ron was always outnumbered by the women in his life. With Marie, he was the resident top cabinet reacher, jar-opener, and tech guru. With his daughters he shared special individual connections with each of them.
Ron and Chris enjoyed barbecuing together and she always made sure he had cheesecake and red velvet cake for special occations. Jen and Ron were both fluent in sarcasim and she also supplied his beloved pecan pie over the holidays.
Kim inhereted both his love of technology and engineering, traits that she uses each and everyday; they both could tinker for hours making sure there were never any extra screws. Besides sharing a love of travel, Steph, being his youngest, he fostered the importance of self-defence and made sure he was her favorite Taekwondo sparring partner.
Ron graduated from Holy Cross High School in San Antonio. He was a member of the Bandera community for the last 40+ years and was employed by Bandera Electric Co-op for over 20 years. Ron was a devout member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. In retirement, Ron enjoyed his time volunteering with Meals on Wheels and traveling with Marie.
Ron was a veteran of the Vietnam war, and served as a Sargeant in the United States Air Force. He developed his love for dogs while serving as a Sentry Dog Team handler - a love which he very much passed on to his children and grandchildren.
