Colonel Ronald A Nethery, USAF Retired, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on October 8, 2014, at the age of 74. He was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on December 23, 1939 to Inez H. Nethery and C. S. Nethery Jr. He was raised in Nacogdoches and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State College (now University) with a Bachelor of Science in physics.\r\n\r\nOn December 19, 1959 he married the former Patricia Edwards, and she survives him. He is also survived by three daughters and their spouses, Elizabeth and Richard Wagner of Helotes, Mary and Russell Zaiontz of Adkins, and Angela and Darrel Smith of Austin. Other survivors include two brothers, Robert of Abilene and Bill of Glen Heights, and three grandchildren, Ben, Julia, and Charles Smith of Austin. He is also missed by his dog, Rosie. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Clark.\r\n\r\nHis daughters always said their dad could fix anything, and they were right. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. After serving his country in the United States Air Force, he was employed for several years as a communications engineer and then he and his wife retired to Kerrville in 2003. He enjoyed going to the gun range, wood working in his shop, and visiting with family.\r\n\r\nThere will be no services.
