Ronald Holcomb Jr.

Ronald Wallace Holcomb Jr., age 85 of Ingram, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in Kerrville. He was born December 16, 1929 in Palestine, TX to Ronald Wallace Holcomb Sr. and Flossie Mae (Nickleson) Holcomb. On March 13, 1953, he married Sara Jo Williams in San Antonio, TX.\r\n \r\nHe worked as an insurance agent and also for the railroad. \r\n \r\nHe was a member of the Church of Christ and past member of the Sunrise Lions Club.\r\n \r\nSurvivors include wife, Sara Jo Holcomb of Ingram; daughter, Sharon Wilkinson and husband, Jim of Carrollton, TX; sons, Ronald W. Holcomb III and wife Tammy of Waxahachie, TX, Mark Randall Holcomb of Austin, TX and Barry Holcomb and wife, Jo Ann of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Shelby Storts and husband, Justin, Lindsey Holcomb, Luke Saling and Ruth Mannis; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held Friday, August 7, 2015, 5-7 PM at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n \r\nGraveside services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, 10 AM at Hunt Japonica Cemetery with Mr. Dennis Lange and Mr. Tom Frenzel officiating.\r\n \r\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the African Bible School or to Cherokee Children's Home.\r\n \r\nThe family would like to give a special thanks to Brookdale Guadalupe River Plaza for their loving care.\r\n
