Robin BeJay Lovett Gutierrez, 62, of Ingram, TX, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Kerrville, TX. She was born in Winchester, VA, to BeJay and Cathy Lovett on August 30, 1956. She married Mando O. Gutierrez on May 5, 1990 in Kerrville, TX. \r\n\r\nShe went to school at John Handley High School in Virginia and graduated from James Madison University in 1974. Robin started her career at the V.A. Central Office in Washington, D.C. in a clerical position and advanced her career there to a Staffing Specialist. In 1990, she moved to Kerrville, TX, with Mando and started her working career at the Audie Murphy V.A. in San Antonio, TX in a clerical position. She then worked her way up to Administrative Officer for the Psychiatric Service and eventually became the Chief Operating Officer for the V.A. Hospital in Kerrville, TX. She retired from this position in 2013.\r\n\r\nRobin is preceded in death by her father, Brown Lovett Jr (BeJay) and granddaughter Alyssa Gutierrez.\r\n\r\nRobin is survived by her husband, Mando Gutierrez, her son Patrick Gutierrez and his wife Lena, her step-children Mando Jr., Selena Davis and husband Carl, Gabriel Gutierrez-Wilson and husband Gary, Johnny Gutierrez and wife Kristine, Marisol Gutierrez, and Josef Gutierrez; her sisters Gretchen Kauffman and husband Chuck, Stacey Clark and husband Robert, and Leslie Gluchowski and husband Woody; her mother Cathy Lovett; and her grandchildren Julia, Tyler, Sierra, Beckie, Megan, Kira, Corbin, Christian, and Aiden; great-granddaughter Isabella; and seven nieces and nephews.\r\n\r\nRobin's Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 26th at Grimes Funeral Chapels and will be officiated by Hervé Fleurant of Mission Point Christian Church.\r\n\r\nRobin's family and friends would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the doctors and nurses of Peterson Regional Medical Center in Kerrville, TX for all of their help and support.
