Robert Neill Millard, 88, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on April 15, 2018 at his home. He was born in Hereford, Texas to George & Helen Millard on December 31, 1929. He married Lois Gardner on December 21, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas.\r\n\r\nHe graduated from Hereford High School in 1947. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1951, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Geology. He worked as a petroleum geologist for Sinclair Oil & Gas and Southern Minerals, before becoming an independent geologist in the early 1960's. He served in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956 as a radar operator on Toboga Island in Panama.\r\n\r\nBob was a member of the Coastal Bend Geological Society, American Association of Petroleum Geologist (65 years) and the Red Raider Club. Bob was a faithful servant of God and loved his family. He also loved following any Texas Tech sports, basketball, golf, travel, Ruidoso, peanut butter and Dr. Pepper.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his wife, Lois Jean Millard, to whom he was married for 61 years; His daughter Lisa Millard Bosch (Sil), his son Marshall Neill Millard (Pamela). Grandchildren Matthew Bosch, Eric Bosch, Lindsay Millard Hubenak (Bryce), Shannon Millard (fiancé Erich Potthast) & David Millard. \r\n\r\nVisitation will be 6 - 8 PM Thursday April 19 at Grimes Funeral Home in Kerrville.\r\n\r\nMemorial services will be held Friday April 20 at 2 PM at First Presbyterian in Kerrville, with Rob Lohmeyer officiating. \r\n\r\nSeparate burial services will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at a later date. \r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Ronald Rodriguez, Dr. Rebecca Barrington, Dr. Christopher Glanton, Dr. Michael Grocki and Peterson Hospice.
