Robert Locke

Robert ("Bob") R. Locke, age 88, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away on June 25, 2017, in Kerrville. He was born in Sabinal, Texas to Ira P. Locke and Mabel Locke on August 5, 1928. He was married to Lenora Kornegay on November 24, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas.\r\n\r\nBob grew up and graduated high school in Sabinal, Texas. He then attended and graduated Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering in 1949. After military service, he went to work for the Pure Oil Company, which later became part of the Union Oil Company of California. Bob worked for Union Oil for 35 years in several different locations across the United States eventually retiring in Midland, Texas, as Supervisor of Gas Contracts. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Air Force retiring as a Major.\r\n\r\nBob was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Mabel Locke, and his half-sister, Dorothy Akoury.\r\n\r\nBob is survived by his wife, Lenora K. Locke, and his son, Stephen R. Locke.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, July 10, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville with Rob Lohmeyer of the First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville, officiating.\r\n\r\nMemorials may be delivered to Grimes Funeral Chapel at 728 Jefferson, Kerrville, TX 78029.
