Robert "Bobby" Gonzales Jr., age 60, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 29th, 2015. He was surrounded by his loving family.\r\n \r\nBobby was born to Robert and Margaret Gonzales on September 24th, 1954 in Kerrville, Texas. He grew up in Kerrville and worked as a backhoe operator for Underground Utilities for over 20 years. Bobby married his wife, Mary Jane Gonzales, on July 22, 1974. He loved to play baseball, pool, bowling, poker and dominos. Spending time with family was what brought joy and happiness to Bobby's life. He especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.\r\n \r\nBobby was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Real Gonzales and grandmother, Elvira Trevino.\r\n \r\nHe is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Gonzales; father, Robert Gonzales Sr. and step mother Clementina; sons, Steve Gonzales and wife Kiyanna, and Joey Gonzales; brothers, Pete Gonzales and wife Esther, and Paul Gonzales; sisters, Dora Bill and husband Alfredo, Susie Sierra and husband Guadalupe, Virginia Cervantes and husband Jose, Pauline Armendariz and husband Richard; grandchildren, Dillon Torres, Cassandra Gonzales, Mychaela Torres, Hezekiah Gonzales, Julianni Gonzales, Miiya Gonzales, Moses Gonzales, Nehemiah Gonzales, and Ysavaiah Gonzales; great grandchildren, Elijah Benavides and Robert Ray Benavides.\r\n \r\nVisitation will be held on Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm and a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels, 728 Jefferson in Kerrville, Texas. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 at 10:00 am at Grimes Funeral Chapels with interment at Mountain View Cemetery on Sidney Baker in Kerrville, Texas.\r\n \r\nPallbearers will be Richard Bill, James Bill, Eric Fabro, Joseph Cervantes, Trueman Brown Ill, and Jonathan Castillo.\r\n \r\nAlthough words do not seem enough to express our heartfelt emotions, the family wishes to thank all who prayed and supported Bobby during his journey in one way or another. We would also like to thank Sid Peterson Hospice for their loving care and Reverend Msgr. Mike Boulette, Notre Dame Catholic Church, the Community of Notre Dame, Hastings, The Outlaw Joel Gonzales, Tejano Cookers and Hill Country Journal, for your support in making our BBQ Benefit Fundraiser possible for Bobby. We are truly blessed to have such a VERY loving and giving community. May the Lord bless you all!\r\n
