Robert "Bobby" E. Fahrenthold of Kerrville, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Kerrville. He was born in Karnes City to Sibyle and Melvin Fahrenthold on June 15, 1937. He married Carol Jean Ahrens on April 5, 1968.\r\n\r\nHe went to Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas from 1961 to 1965. He was in the Navy from 1957 to 1961. He worked for Texas Education Agency for 30 years before retiring in 1995. \r\nAfter retiring he spent time at his ostrich ranch in Oklahoma and his ranch in South Texas. He was a member of the American Legion # 208 for 11 years.\r\n\r\nAfter residing in Allen, Texas for 27 years, they returned to Kerrville in 2007. \r\n\r\nRobert is preceded in death by his parents, Sibyle and Earl Jordan; father, Melvin Fahrenthold; brother, Owen Fahrenthold; daughter, Cindy Bazan; son-in-law, Jeff Culverhouse; and friend of many years, Charles "Tunie" Flores.\r\n\r\nRobert is survived by wife, Carol Jean; son, Barry Fahrenthold and wife Shawna; daughter, Melinda Culverhouse; sister, Patsy Fleming and husband WL; 6 grandchildren Jonathan Bishop, Tanya Dudley and husband James, Shannan Bishop, Christopher Aaron and wife Ariel, Cristen Bazan, Addison Fahrenthold; 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other relatives; special friends Joe and Judy Farmer and Cree Flores and many other friends. \r\n\r\nVisitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels.\r\n\r\nFuneral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Mountain Home.
