Robert "Bob" Brayton, age 83 of Kerrville, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 in San Antonio. He was born March 21, 1931 in Chicopee Falls, MA to Clarence M. Brayton and Melena P. (Cameron) Brayton. On November 28, 1952, he married Iris Lorraine Walker in Beeville, TX.\r\n\r\nBob served in the United States Navy during the Korean Campaign, from 1948-1952.\r\n\r\nHe attended Delmar College, Richland College and the University of Houston.\r\n\r\nHis working career was long and interesting with Cravens Dargan & Co., Houston, TX, and the Atlantic Companies of New York. He was Director of Conservation of Companies for the State Board of Insurance of Texas. He later formed and ran R.W. Brayton & Co., Southwest Claims, and First Southwest Lloyds and was a realtor for Coldwell Banker Award Realtors, Jackson, CA. He was president of Amador County Realtors Association, Jackson, CA. He was a member of the Amador Masonic Lodge #65, Jackson, CA, Azalia Star #66, Jackson, CA and the American Legion Kerrville Memorial Post #208.\r\n\r\nBob loved to camp in his trailer in the Sierras, Ruidoso and the Texas parks with his family. He loved to walk, and in earlier days, ran track and cross-country.\r\n\r\nSurvivors include wife, Iris L. Brayton of Kerrville; daughters, Melody A. Lambert and husband, Dr. David Lambert of Austin, TX and Deborah L. Jones and husband, Bill Jones of Ft. Mill, SC; son, Timothy Brayton and wife, Kimberly Brayton of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren, Matthew Brayton, Megan Brayton, Randy Jones, Amy Parham and husband, Brad Parham; great grandchildren, Corie Jones, Benjamin Jones, Katherine Parham and Allison Parham.\r\n\r\nPrivate services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.\r\n\r\nThe family wishes to extend our most sincere thanks and appreciation to the teams of doctors and nurses at Audie L.
